2008 Chardonnay
This wine is an excellent example of Chardonnay made from grapes grown in the Southeastern New England AVA. The grapes were grown at Running Brook Vineyards in North Dartmouth, Mass. It is crisp, fresh, fruity, and lightly oaked - more in the French style rather than California style. Its balance of fruit and acidity make it a terrific food wine. The crisp acidity pairs well with a variety of foods, including cheeses, fish, chicken, and pork, and even some heavier dishes that you would not expect a Chardonnay to go well with.
